Autumn definitely doesn’t mean the end of corporate events. With pleasant temperatures, colourful scenery, and everyone getting back into their usual work routine, it’s actually the perfect time to enjoy some memorable moments together.
Looking back at last autumn, there were a few events we enjoyed so much that we’d happily do them all over again this year. Here are some of our favourites.
We often associate BBQs with summer, but early autumn might be an even better time for them. The intense summer heat is gone, while the weather is still pleasant enough to enjoy an afternoon or evening outdoors.
An autumn BBQ can be a relaxed team-building event, a get-together with clients, or even a larger company celebration. And when the temperature drops? Warm drinks, cosy blankets, and fairy lights create the perfect autumn atmosphere.
When the weather isn’t ideal for outdoor activities, it’s time to move indoors. One format that worked particularly well for us last year was a Mexican cooking workshop.
Cooking together naturally brings people closer and creates plenty of opportunities for teamwork and fun. Mexican cuisine is colourful, diverse, and playful, making it easy for the whole team to get involved. And the best part? At the end, everyone gets to enjoy what they’ve created together.
Autumn is also a great time for Family Days. It’s an opportunity for colleagues to bring their partners and children and enjoy a day together outside the usual work environment.
The programme can combine kids’ activities, competitions, and creative workshops with entertainment for adults, great food, and music. Early autumn is especially ideal, as the weather still allows for outdoor activities without the intense summer heat.
Last autumn showed us that a successful event doesn’t need 30-degree temperatures and summer sunshine. Whether you choose a BBQ, a cooking workshop, or a Family Day, autumn offers plenty of opportunities to bring people together and create memorable shared experiences.
So, which event should we repeat this year?

Crispy crust, soft and airy dough, perfectly balanced ingredients. Great pizza may look simple. But it’s precisely in that simplicity that the real art lies. And now you have the chance to learn from someone who has truly mastered it.
We’ve added a brand-new experience to the programme at Catermat Studio - a Pizza Workshop with Francesco Gallucci. An evening where you won’t just taste pizza. You’ll make it, explore it and, most importantly, learn how to create a truly great one yourself.
The workshop will be led by Francesco Gallucci, one of the most respected pizza masters in the Czech Republic and the owner of the popular Prague pizzerias Le Pizze di Frankie.
He’ll guide you through the world of authentic pizza and show you that behind something that looks so effortless lies the right technique, years of experience and attention to detail.
How should you work with the dough? What really matters? Which mistakes should you avoid when making pizza at home? And what makes the difference between a good pizza and a truly great one?
Frankie will share his practical techniques, experience and insider tips that you can take home and put to use in your own kitchen.
And because the best way to understand pizza is to experience it with all your senses, this workshop is about much more than just listening.
The Pizza Workshop isn’t a traditional cooking class where you spend hours simply listening to instructions. Above all, it’s a shared culinary experience.
Expect the irresistible aroma of freshly baked pizza, great food, the relaxed atmosphere of Catermat Studio and the opportunity to meet someone for whom pizza is not just a profession, but a true passion.
And of course, there will be plenty of pizza to eat.
Because some things simply can’t be learned from a video or a cookbook. You need to see them, try them and taste them for yourself.
Pizza has one wonderful quality: it brings people together.
That’s why we can also organise the Pizza Workshop with Frankie as a tailor-made experience for companies either as a standalone team-building activity or as an original addition to your corporate event.
Instead of another formal programme, your team can enjoy a shared experience where they’ll learn something new, have fun together and, at the end, enjoy the results of their own work.
How many work events end with a pizza you’ve learned to make from one of the best pizza masters in the Czech Republic? This is an evening you won’t experience every day!
You don’t need to be an experienced cook or own a professional pizza oven. All you need is a desire to discover, taste and learn what really goes into a pizza with true character.
The Pizza Workshop at Catermat Studio is an invitation to gather around the table, enjoy great food and discover a craft that Italians have perfected over generations.
Come hungry. Leave with new skills, fresh inspiration and quite possibly a whole new appreciation for pizza.

Close your eyes for a moment. The sun is shining, the smell of grilled chicken souvlaki is in the air, chilled tzatziki is waiting on the table, and laughter surrounds you. A chef is cooking right in front of the guests, glasses are clinking, and for a moment, you feel like you’ve been transported straight to Greece.
And yet, you haven’t taken a single flight.
Welcome to the Greek Summer Party we created for STRV, right on their rooftop terrace.
A summer company party doesn’t have to be just about catering, a few drinks, and some music. We love events that have an idea, an atmosphere, and a story to tell.
And STRV’s rooftop terrace was the perfect place for one. Our goal was simple: for a few hours, we wanted to take the guests away from the buzz of the city and transport them somewhere much further south.
No airport. No suitcases. No check-in. All they had to do was step onto the terrace.
If you want to create a true Greek atmosphere, food naturally takes centre stage.
We designed the menu with the Mediterranean in mind. There was tzatziki, a fresh salad with Balkan-style cheese, chicken souvlaki, roasted baby potatoes, grilled vegetables, and ice cream to finish. Because what would a summer party be without ice cream?
The event also featured live cooking, with our chef preparing food right in front of the guests while our team took care of the service and made sure no one was missing a thing.
The smell of the grill, fresh ingredients, sunshine overhead, and a relaxed atmosphere did the rest.
Great food alone isn’t enough. We wanted the entire event to feel like one thoughtfully designed experience.
That’s why we also created custom graphics for all the food labels and menu cards and coordinated them with the overall terrace decoration. Every detail had its place, working together to create the feeling of a Greek summer.
Because it’s often the little things that make the difference between guests simply attending “a catered event” and experiencing something they’ll remember long after it’s over.
And the weather? This time, it couldn’t have been more perfect. Sunshine, a rooftop terrace, amazing food, live cooking, and people enjoying a summer day together.
What more could you ask for?
Maybe a view of the Aegean Sea. But after your second souvlaki, you probably won’t even miss it.
These are exactly the kind of events we love creating. It’s not just about bringing great food and providing excellent service. It’s about creating an atmosphere that transports your guests somewhere completely different for a few hours.
One day Greece. Next time, perhaps Italy, Mexico, or the French Riviera.
Craving a little summer magic of your own? Get in touch. We’ll create a party so good, you won’t even need a plane ticket.

Corporate events are no longer just about renting a venue and arranging catering. Today, companies are looking for experiences that bring teams together, inspire employees, and leave a lasting impression. That’s exactly why we have built a network of trusted partners and experts who enable us to create events tailored to your vision from the very first idea to the final detail.
Imagine not having to search for multiple suppliers, coordinate schedules, or figure out who is responsible for what. All you need is one partner to take care of everything.
Whether you are planning:
together, we will create a concept that makes sense for your company.
Hands-on workshops are among the most popular parts of corporate events. Not only are they fun and engaging, but they also encourage teamwork, creativity, and informal communication.
Over the years, we have built a network of outstanding professionals who are true experts in their fields. Thanks to them, we can offer authentic experiences that combine quality with a unique story.
Sweet artistry at its finest. Eliška leads popular praline-making workshops where participants learn how to create their own chocolates under the guidance of an experienced pastry chef. In addition to workshops, she also creates beautiful custom desserts for corporate events, celebrations, and conferences.
For Martin, cooking is a show. He combines great food with energy, humour, and stories from his travels. His themed workshops inspired by Mexican and Italian cuisine are always full of flavour, wonderful aromas, and a great atmosphere.
If you want to discover the secrets of Japanese cuisine, Ondra is the perfect guide. Participants learn how to prepare sushi step by step while also discovering the philosophy behind this unique culinary tradition.
Pizza is about much more than dough and tomatoes. Frankie shows how quality ingredients, the right techniques, and genuine passion can create an unforgettable culinary experience. His workshops are enjoyable for beginners and experienced lovers of Italian cuisine alike.
When it comes to premium ice cream, Angelato is a name that immediately comes to mind for many people. Tastings and ice cream catering are a fantastic addition to summer events and corporate festivals.
Authentic Italian specialities made in the heart of Europe. Fresh mozzarella, burrata, and other delicacies bring the true taste of Italy to our culinary workshops.
Mushrooms are much more than just an ingredient. They are a fascinating world of flavours, aromas, and discoveries. Martin introduces participants to their culinary uses while offering a fresh and unconventional perspective on this unique ingredient.
No two companies are the same, which is why our events never follow a one-size-fits-all formula. Together with our clients, we create solutions that reflect their company culture, objectives, and budget.
Some clients are looking for a relaxed culinary workshop for a smaller team, while others need a full-day programme for hundreds of employees. Whether you are hosting a few dozen guests or organising a large corporate event, we make sure everything runs smoothly while delivering a high-quality and memorable experience.
Our greatest strength is our network of trusted partners with whom we have built long-term relationships. We know we can rely on them just as our clients can rely on us.
There is no need to spend time searching for individual suppliers or coordinating the entire programme yourself. Simply tell us what kind of event you are planning, and we will design a solution that works from the very first idea to the final happy smile.

Every successful long-term partnership has a beginning. Ours with Valeo started with what we do best catering. Over time, we became a trusted partner for their corporate events, and with each successful collaboration, our relationship grew stronger.
Then one day, we were asked a simple question:
"Would you be able to organize a Family Day for around 1,000 guests?"
Our answer was immediate.
Absolutely.
The goal was to turn Valeo's outdoor premises into a welcoming space where employees and their families could spend a day enjoying great food, entertainment, and quality time together.
The first step was creating the event infrastructure. We installed spacious marquees that provided comfortable areas for dining, refreshments, and relaxation. Once everything was in place, the venue was ready to welcome hundreds of families.
Great food is at the heart of every successful event, so we designed a menu that appealed to guests of all ages.
One of the biggest highlights was our live pancake station, serving both sweet and savory pancakes freshly prepared to order.
For those craving something more substantial, we grilled fresh beef burgers, served with crisp salads and homemade coleslaw.
To keep everyone refreshed throughout the day, we provided a wide selection of beverages from drinks for adults to draft lemonades that quickly became a favorite among the youngest guests.
Of course, a Family Day is about much more than food. It's about creating memorable moments together.
To keep children entertained, the event featured a variety of attractions, including a carousel, giant bubble activities, balloon twisting, and many other fun experiences. While the children explored the activities, parents had the opportunity to relax, catch up with colleagues, and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere.
One of the things we truly appreciate about Valeo is the care they invest in their employees and their families. This Family Day was far more than another event on the company calendar. It was a genuine expression of appreciation for the people who contribute to the company's success every day and an opportunity to spend meaningful time together outside the workplace.
We're proud to be part of events that create lasting memories.
What began as a catering partnership has evolved into the successful delivery of a large-scale event for 1,000 participants. Projects like this demonstrate how strong partnerships are built on trust, reliability, and attention to every detail.
The entire Family Day ran smoothly, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the smiles on the faces of employees, their families, and the organizing team were the best reward we could ask for.
We would like to thank Valeo for their trust and the opportunity to be part of this special event. We are already looking forward to our next collaboration.

We know what you're probably thinking:
"Christmas? Now? It's 30°C outside, I'm sipping a cold lemonade on the terrace, and Christmas is still six months away."
Exactly. There are just under six months until Christmas which is precisely why we're writing this article today, not in October, when it will already be too late.
Because in December, every company in Prague is looking for exactly the same things:
The best venues with the best catering don't get booked in December or even in September. Some companies secure their preferred venue as early as January.
Every year we see the same pattern:
Companies that start planning in August get exactly what they want. Companies that wait until November end up choosing from what's left. And companies that start in December... well, they usually host a post-Christmas party instead.
Which is certainly an option but it simply doesn't have the same festive atmosphere.
A Christmas party isn't just another task on the HR calendar. It's one of the few moments during the year when the entire team comes together without meetings, deadlines, or agendas. Simply to enjoy each other's company.
When it's done well, it's worth every minute. When it's rushed, people notice.
Here are the five things companies most often overlook:
A room that's too large feels empty and impersonal. One that's too small quickly becomes uncomfortable.
The ideal venue creates a sense of togetherness, making everyone feel connected rather than scattered throughout the space.
That's why we always recommend visiting the venue in person before making a final decision to ensure it's the right fit.
A Christmas party isn't a workshop or a conference.
The food should feel festive, generous, and memorable.
Elegant finger food encourages conversation and networking, warm dishes create the feeling of a proper holiday dinner, and desserts should be the kind people remember and ask for the recipe afterwards.
The best Christmas parties aren't packed with activities from start to finish.
Instead, they focus on what truly matters: great food, a warm atmosphere, and enough space for natural conversations to happen.
Christmas is about bringing people together.
Vegetarians, vegans, guests with allergies or dietary restrictions. Everyone deserves to enjoy a complete festive meal.
Good planning means nobody feels like an afterthought.
Christmas events require experience.
A reliable catering partner knows the best venues, adapts quickly when plans change, anticipates problems before they happen, and isn't afraid to improvise when necessary.
That's the kind of support that makes the difference between a stressful event and a seamless one.
We offer two options for your Christmas celebration.
Already have a venue?
Whether it's your office, a favourite restaurant, or another event space, we'll deliver a complete catering experience tailored to your needs.
We'll design a bespoke menu, provide professional service, and take care of every detail so you can focus on your guests.
For teams of approximately 20 to 50 people, we offer our own indoor event space in Prague.
It's cosy, practical, and full of atmosphere perfect for a Christmas dinner, a workshop with refreshments, or a company presentation followed by a festive meal.
No searching for the right venue. No coordinating multiple suppliers.
Everything in one place.
Because the best December dates are like the best spot on the beach.
The earlier you arrive, the better your choice.
And because planning calmly, without unnecessary pressure and with plenty of time, always leads to a better event than trying to organise everything at the last minute.
If you're already thinking about your company Christmas party even just a little. This is the perfect time to start the conversation.
We'll be happy to help you create an event your team will genuinely enjoy.

A successful corporate event is about more than great catering. It's the thoughtful details that guests remember long after the event is over. One of those details can be beautifully crafted desserts designed specifically for your occasion.
In collaboration with our talented pastry chef Eliška from V Cukru, we create not only the desserts featured in our regular menu but also bespoke sweet creations tailored to your vision.
Whether you're celebrating a company anniversary, a colleague's birthday, hosting a themed corporate party, organizing a conference, or launching a new product or brand, we'll create desserts that perfectly complement your event.
Simply send us your logo, brand colors, graphic elements, or even just a brief idea. We'll take care of everything from the initial design to the final creation.
You don't need to have a detailed concept before reaching out. Together with Eliška, we've designed countless unique dessert collections for a wide range of events, and we'd be happy to create something special for yours as well.
From elegant mini desserts and custom-decorated macarons to spectacular celebration cakes, the possibilities are virtually endless.
Our desserts are designed to impress both visually and in flavor. We use high-quality ingredients, pay close attention to every detail, and ensure that every bite is as memorable as the presentation.
Custom desserts are more than just a sweet ending. They become part of your brand experience and often one of the most photographed highlights of the event.
Take a look at some of the custom desserts we've created together with Eliška for our clients. Every project is unique and crafted with care to reflect each client's style and vision.
If one of our creations catches your eye or if you have an idea of your own. We'd love to hear from you. Together, we'll create a sweet finishing touch that tastes as exceptional as it looks.

It was a beautiful June morning. The sky was blue, the sun was shining, the tables were set, and guests were beginning to arrive.
And then came the rain.
Not a light shower that would pass in a few minutes. A proper summer downpour that changed our plans within ten minutes. Wet tables, food at risk, guests looking for shelter, and us dealing with things that should have been solved long before the event started.
This exact experience, along with several other unexpected situations we have encountered at summer events, led us to write this article.
Because outdoor events can be beautiful. But only when they are well prepared for everything that might happen.
This is the number one question that a surprising number of organizers forget to ask.
Before the event, make sure you have a clear answer: Do we have an indoor backup space where we can move the event? Or are we relying on tents? If so, who is providing them, who will set them up, and who will move or adjust them during the event if needed?
Saying “we’ll figure it out somehow” is not enough. Rain will not wait until you have agreed on a solution.
Tip: Always appoint one person who will be responsible for coordinating the move in case of bad weather. One person makes the decision, the others respond. Chaos happens when everyone tries to decide at once.
If you are planning an event outside the city, in a park, garden, or meadow, and you need electrical equipment, one thing must be clear in advance: who is responsible for the power supply?
Do you have access to a power socket, or do you need a generator? Who will bring it, who will operate it, and who is responsible if it stops working in the middle of grilling?
This is something that needs to be arranged ahead of time, not on-site, not during the event, and definitely not when guests are already on their way.
Our rule is simple: let’s agree in advance who is responsible for what.
This may seem like a small detail, but in practice, it can decide whether the event starts smoothly or in chaos.
Clearly appoint one contact person for the catering team and for the guests. Ideally, it should be someone who is not also moderating the program, responsible for a presentation, or as sometimes happens — in the middle of an important online meeting just as the food delivery arrives.
Name, phone number, and a clear agreement: this person is available from the moment the catering arrives, while everyone else can continue without interruptions.
If we are working with a limited amount of dishes or planning to rotate plates throughout the event, access to water is essential.
Where is the nearest tap? Is there a place where dishes can be washed? Or are we using disposable tableware?
All of these options are fine, but it is important to know in advance not to find out after arriving on-site.
This is one of the most commonly overlooked points when planning an event, yet it can be one of the most important.
If your event involves any specific risks, allergens in the area, limited access for emergency services, venue safety rules, or other restrictions. It is important to inform not only your employees but also the catering team.
We are with you throughout the day. We are part of your event. And if something happens, we need to know how to respond.
Because we have experienced it ourselves.
Rain that arrived without warning. A power outage no one expected. A contact person who was unavailable at a crucial moment. Water too far away. Not enough dishes.
Each of these situations taught us something. And all of them could have been solved or at least made easier by one simple thing: agreeing on everything in advance.
Outdoor events have a special atmosphere that no indoor space can replace. We want guests to enjoy that atmosphere, not deal with issues that should have been handled long before.
We know that for someone who does not organize events regularly, this can feel overwhelming. So if you are planning a larger event, we will be happy to help.
Get in touch with us. We will go through everything together before the rain comes.
